Rendering of Park Avenue Station

Our plan treats the Harlem-125th Street station as more than a stop on the Metro-North line, using it as an anchor to recenter public space, strengthen local identity, and drive sustainable growth across East Harlem.

In conjunction with a consideration to upzone areas around the Harlem-125th Street MetroNorth station, a vision plan for the areas beneath the station is being developed to support future opportunities and to enrich the public realm. Transportation and urban design improvements will be combined to activate the public spaces beneath the viaduct and in the surrounding areas to allow for future transit-oriented development. The project will also seek to incorporate transportation improvements and public programming while integrating circulation needs and safety concerns as part of the overall improvement plan.
