GothamSchools reports on WXY’s study prepared for Community Education Council 1 on the effects of school assignment policy change for Manhattan’s School District 1. The study, prepared with George Janesand Ajay Khashu of Youth Studies Inc., presents findings of increased variability in student background and performance between schools in the district from 1999-2011, coinciding with an assignment policy change.
